Job Details:

Data Engineer for Equifax Inc. in Alpharetta, GA, to engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of data marketplace integration - from inception and design, through deployment, operation and refinement. Influence and design infrastructure, architecture, standards and methods for large-scale data distribution into data marketplaces. Create new data pipelines for delivering new and existing data sets into data marketplaces. Support services prior to production via software platform development, capacity planning and launch reviews. Maintain services during deployment and in production by measuring and monitoring key performance and service level indicators including availability, latency, and overall system health. Automate system scalability and continually work to improve system resiliency, performance and efficiency. Collaborate with Technology, Security, Data Governance, and IT Operations to facilitate and accelerate the movement of key data assets to data marketplaces, including Azure, AWS, and GCP. Drive maintenance of services once they are live by monitoring availability and overall system health. Influence and create new designs, architecture, standards and methods.

Requires:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineer, Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience as a data engineer or related occupation with experience in analytics and data-based product development or, alternatively, a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineer, Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus three (3) years of experience as a data engineer or related occupation with experience in analytics and data-based product development. Specific skills/other requirements - Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): Big Data technology: Hadoop/Hive; Big Data ETL Tools: PySpark/Spark; Cloud technology: Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Databrick; Python; and Unix/Shell Scripting.
