Job Details:
Data Engineering - Manager for Equifax Inc. in Alpharetta, GA, to identify optimal path for new analytical product deployment and work with the technology, sales, and marketing organizations on go-to-market execution. Oversee Data and Analytics system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance. Manage large scale data engineering and analytics projects ensuring milestones are met, risk is mitigated, and delivery occurs within the agreed upon time frames. Oversee the design and implementation of secure data integration processes for both upstream and downstream data pipelines. Manage a small team of onshore and offshore data engineers. Build and deploy streaming and batch data pipelines across a hybrid multi-cloud architecture. Build capabilities to run analytics, data visualization, and machine learning algorithms at scale. Build and maintain dimensional databases, data marts, operational data stores, semantic models and ontologies in support of business intelligence and advanced analytics tools in a hybrid multi-cloud architecture. Manage a team of data engineers in technical environment responsible for data delivery, design of data structures and processes balancing immediate deliverables with future reus-ability, while evangelizing best practices for data solution architecture. Develop the team to demonstrate ability to blend disparate technologies/platforms (BigQuery, DataFlow, Cloud, Python, SAS, SQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) into cohesive solutions is critical for success; design and implementation of the D&A teams transition to cloud. Participate in the development of strategies, standards, and best practices in the areas of data access and integration within cloud and ensure team's under-standing and alignment of the strategic direction.
Requires:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Computer Science or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience as a data engineer or related occupation with experience in analytics and data-based product development or, alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Computer Science or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and seven (7) years of experience as a data engineer or related occupation with experience in analytics and data-based product development. Specific skills/other requirements - Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): Data analytics and reporting using Big Query and Machine Learning Model Implementation; Big Data technology: Hadoop/Hive; Big Data ETL Tools: PySpark/Spark; Cloud technology: GCP, BigQuery, DataFlow, DataFabric, Airflow, and Databricks; Scripting & Programming : Python, C++, Java, SAS, SQL, and Unix/Shell Scripting; Monitoring Tools: DataDog, Fortify Static Code Analyzer, Valgrind, helgrind, and SonarQube. Must possess (certifications): GCP Certification: Associate Cloud Engineer and Cloud Digital Leader.
