Job Details:
Site Reliability Engineer for Equifax Inc. in St. Louis, MO, to drive DevOps and automation efforts by building robust Linux systems using public cloud infrastructure, including AWS, GCP, or Azure for data analytics platform; collaborate with software and network engineers to automate builds and software deployments; invent and implement new approaches to automate maintenance tasks, system health, performance monitoring tools, and software management tools; refine EFX’s cloud deployment practices for improved reliability, repeatability and security; create plans, collaborate with other DevOps team members and coordinate with development and business teams to increase service levels, lower costs and deliver technical solutions; write code and scripts to automate provisioning of cloud services and configure services, using tools and languages including cloud CLI / API, Terraform, Ansible, Python, Bash, and Git; refine DevSecOps security practices, including conducting regular security patching and create minimum-permissions accounts and policies; encrypt everything in compliance with government regulations, such as PCI-DSS; implement and verify regulations, using tools including Tenable and VeraCode to analyze and verify compliance; build IAC/CM tool and configuration frameworks for deployment and operation, including Chef and Puppet; conduct micro services orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes; use scripting, systems tools and vendor provided tools to implement customized application monitoring; and resolve issues in production and other environments, applying debugging and problem-solving techniques, including log analysis and 1300 non-invasive tests.
Requires:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Assurance related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus three (3) years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or related occupation with experience in DevOps or site reliability engineering or, alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Assurance related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or related occupation with experience in DevOps or site reliability engineering. Specific skills/other requirements - Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): deployment automation using Terraform, Jenkins, Maven, or cloud services; Ansible, Chef, or Puppet for deployment; cloud data flow orchestration using Docker or Kubernetes; GitHub or Bitbucket, as well as Bash or Python scripting; and monitoring with Grafana, Graphite or Splunk dashboard.
