Associate Scientist w/ Dicerna Pharmaceuticals, Inc. in Lexington, MA
Contribute to experimental design and strategy, conducting experiments independently to produce high quality data within project deadlines. Utilize a variety of cellular and molecular biological methodologies, including mammalian cell culture, quantitative PCR, and Western blotting. Develop biological assays for in vitro screening and structure-activity-relationship studies to improve Dicerna’s platform technology. Cellular and molecular biology methodologies, such as mammalian cell culture; in vitro screening; cell-based assays; RNA extraction and RT-qPCR. Generate and maintain clear experimental records and writing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and other technical reports as needed.
Must possess a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Biotechnology or a related life sciences field. Experience or academic training must include:Developing biological assays for in vitro screening and structure-activity-relationship; Cellular and molecular biology methodologies; In vivo drug candidate testing and DNA and RNA isolation utilizing qPCR.
