Job Details:

Perform studies to analyze transmission congestion patterns across U.S. power markets. Understand the impact of new renewable and battery energy, and of retiring coal and nuclear sources. Monitor system reliability and identify economic impacts. Create financial models to forecast the impact on congestion and market prices and develop trading ideas and automation tools for the FTR trading desk and provide analysis to FTR traders to facilitate informed trading decisions.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field, plus 3 years of experience as FTR Analyst or similar role, working with power system studies. Experience must include the following: Perform transmission congestion studies; DAYZER, Panorama, PowerWorld, MATLAB, UPLAN and SQL, Python, VBA.
