Duties:
Engage in all of the various activities required to sell, design, and construct a project, including subcontracting, estimating, cost management, schedule management, safety, and quality management; manage commercial, multi-family and/or industrial construction projects; participate in selecting appropriate subcontractors, preparing bidding documents, creating bid evaluations, analyzing bids, and making recommendations to the Project Manager on subcontractor selection using fair methods and practices; participate in writing subcontractor contracts, purchase orders and change order agreements for Project Manager's approval; participate in preparing estimates for projects involving comparison estimating, take-off estimating, and category square footage comparison estimating; participate in the preparation of project schedules utilizing historical averages, field resources, project management resources and industry resources; connect with stakeholders using construction management software such as Procore, Timberline, and Bluebeam; identify project problems and gather information on alternative solutions; perform project management on large-scale construction projects; prepare job cost reports utilizing accounting reports, field resources, and project management resources; create any necessary communication or correspondence with any governmental agencies, clients, subcontractors, design disciplines, or other appropriate entities for review and approval by the Project Manager; utilize the company’s various proposal formats; be responsible for construction productivity using CMiC, PlanGrid, Textura, and Field ID; manage and execute project work using Primavera P6 software; serve as team lead; and prepare new client proposals for review and approval by the appropriate Operations Manager.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience as a general contractor managing commercial, multi-family and/or industrial construction projects or, alternatively, a Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus three (3) years of experience as a general contractor managing commercial, multi-family and/or industrial construction projects. Experience must include (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): project management on large-scale construction projects; team lead; construction management software such as Procore, Timberline, and Bluebeam; CMiC, PlanGrid, Textura, and Field ID; Primavera P6 software.
