Job Summary: 

Business Intelligence Engineers contribute to design and development of our products and technology, seen and used by millions of people in the market. Business Intelligence Engineers work in data analysis, data manipulation, and large-scale EDI to transfer large datasets between proprietary information systems and those of our user-base.

Essential Duties: Develop technical dashboards, data analytics, and customized and automated technical reports; apply knowledge of business intelligence, use analytics, informatics and data, all to statistically-define business processes; leverage informatics, analytics and technology to analyze datasets; design informatics and analytics contributing to organizational decision-making, including regarding technology product-suite; develop metrics to determine product success through the use of business intelligence; build scalable, efficient, and automated data processes, to facilitate customer-facing reporting and to streamline Businessolver.com data operations; support and contribute to the adoption and implementation of best-practices in automated reporting, informatics and data analysis, including with regard to data integrity, business intelligence tools for data analysis, and performing associated technical documentation development; analyze and process technical requirements for interactive dashboards, statistical and analytic tools, automated reporting functions, data processes, and data operations functions; run quantitative analyses to uncover insights and trends in data, using principles of business intelligence; build business intelligence, analytics and informatics tools that support and automate day-to-day technical and business operations; design, analyze and execute technology-product and application enhancements; perform database queries within SQL relational databases; perform data warehousing services and implementations, with work spanning technical report design and development for data warehouses; engage in data mining within databases and datasets; contribute to data warehouse technical architecture, database design, and data visualization; perform data extraction and integration, including through the use of the ETL process; use business intelligence and visualization software, including Tableau; and test and document application and coding changes.

These positions, to be clear, they are not supervisory capacities. Business Intelligence Engineers, for and at Businessolver, they do not have subordinate, direct reports. They are hands-on, individual contributors, responsible for data analysis, business intelligence, informatics, data warehousing, dashboard development, and data analytics (as described above). Full-time positions requiring a Master’s Degree or foreign equivalent in data science, machine learning, informatics, analytics or related field. Also required is one year of experience in analytics and business intelligence; and with this also specifically spanning the following: (a) performing database queries within SQL relational databases; (b) using business intelligence and visualization software, including Tableau; (c) performing data extraction and integration services; and (d) performing requirement analysis for automated reporting tools and functions.
