Duties:

Utilize analytical, statistical, and programming skills to perform data discovery against structured and unstructured data to identify new opportunities and build predictive, prescriptive models utilizing machine learning algorithms to solve complex problems. Solve business problems as identified by a business unit. At times, problems are formulated by themselves based on data analysis. Solutions are then envisioned that harness internal and external data and through visualizations, predictive analytics, and prescriptive methods, provide the ability for users to answer their key questions. Acquire data from multiple data sources, cleanse the data, identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns using standard statistical techniques to present clear and actionable market intelligence and business insight. Leverage a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations. Provide business insight into Group-wide progress on a variety of business measures. Interpret data, analyzing results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing insight. Collaborate with other Data Science, Data Analytics, and BI Analysts across the company. Collaborate with the Enterprise Data Scientist to establish and maintain a cross functional and cross departmental Model Development Life Cycle (MDLC) comprising of internal standards for model development as well as ensure adoption of the standards across the department. Communicate obstacles and findings to relevant stakeholders in an effort to improve decision making and drive business performance. Create visualizations that can easily be comprehended for non-technical stakeholder audiences and work with a broad cross functional team of data analysts, data warehouse engineers, data engineers, product managers, IT department, and other informatics analysts across the business.

Requirements:              

Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus two (2) years of experience as a Sr. Data Scientist, or related occupation as a Data Scientist in corporate environment(s). Specific skills/other requirements - Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): Report and dashboard development using Tableau or Qlik; SQL for complex queries using MS SQL or PostgreSQL; Data exploration and mining skills using R and Python; Data Science predictive model development; Statistical model development and validation; and building and deploying Machine Learning (ML) solutions using various supervised/unsupervised ML algorithms (Linear/Logistic Regression, Support Vector Machines, (Deep) Neural Networks, or Random Forest).
