Job Details:

Ahead, Inc. seeks a Senior Technical Consultant in Chicago, IL to: lead development and testing activities in ServiceNow platform; Develop software following requirements provided by Business Analysts; Deliver bug free code in timely manner; Write test cases and support applications in production environment; Work on CI/CD scripts to automate development and deployment; Develop architecture/designs for the solutions according to the requirements, following industry best practices; Determine technical challenges and propose solutions; Work with stakeholders to finalize designs and prepare technical HLD for approval before starting development; Prepare technical documentation for problem statement; Participate in meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings; Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements; Participate in code reviews; Document existing systems, proposed modifications, and software requirements; Prepare unit cases for written code; Prepare performance testing to identify application benchmarks; Work with Stakeholders to identify use cases and to prepare test data for end-to-end testing; Support application in production environment; Monitor application alerts to identify any errors with the system; Debug and identify issues and provide solutions; Correct any errors and modify existing software; Conduct performance testing and tuning; and Utilize the following tools and technologies: JavaScript, XML JSON, REST/SOAP Webservices, ServiceNow, Cloud Computing, CI/CD, Jira, Agile methodologies, SDLC, Software Documentation, and ServiceNow Automated Test Framework.

Qualified applicants must at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a foreign equivalent. Qualified applicants must have four (4) years of post-baccalaureate experience as Technical Consultant, Software Engineer, or a substantially similar position performing the above-listed duties. Teleworking from any location in the United States is permitted 100% of the time for this position.
